Instructional Technology
The Del Valle ISD Instructional Technology Department provides DVISD employees, parents, and students with invaluable tools and training on all district technology initiatives. It is our goal to facilitate innovative instructional practices that incorporate seamless and transparent technology integration through professional development, coaching, and instructional pilot programs. We ensure that all technology experiences for our students and employees are safe and educational by providing education on cyber safety, Internet security, and best practices for technology use in the classroom.

Campus Bee Bots: Each elementary campus in DVISD has a hive of 6 BeeBots that can be checked out from your campus Librarian or Tech Apps teacher. Bee Bots are directionally programmable robots. They are great for early elementary and beginning programmers in later elementary. Simple lesson plans are included with the campus kits.
Three years ago, DVISD second grade teachers piloted the robots in their classroom settings. Follow the link to see second grade Bee Bot lesson plans. Campuses should have BeeBot mats available. If you are in need of a mat, please contact instructional.technology@dvisd.net in the Instructional Technology Department. Be sure to include “Bee Bot Mat” in the subject line of the email.

Campus ProBots: Each elementary campus in DVISD have 6 ProBots that can be checked out from your campus Librarian or Tech Apps teacher. ProBots are car-shaped robots that can be programmed to travel various distances and turn in a range of degrees. They are great for 3-5th grade elementary settings and can be used for all subject areas. Simple lesson plans are included with the campus kits.

Available District Technology for Checkout
Technology may be checked out for 2-4 weeks at a time. Please keep in mind that the kits will have to be inventoried before and after checkout. Expect them to be delivered, via interoffice mail, on the first day of your checkout.
