New Hire Orientation – Technology Information

  • Go to the Del Valle website. Click on the green “Employees” icon & login. Then click “Skyward Student”
  • Enter your DVISD username and password (A window may open telling you that you have popups blocked. Click “retry” if this happens)

  • Finding your Employee Number– You will need this number to print and copy documents on DVISD campuses.

ClassLink– The DVISD single sign-on service provider

Your ClassLink login credentials are the same as your Desktop and Outlook login credentials.

You can use the ClassLink application to access all of your DVISD sites and safely save your passwords in one place.

ClassLink Quick Cards– Offer students the ability to sign-on to ClassLink with the swipe of a personalized QR code card.  All PreK-3rd grade classroom teachers have the ability to print the ClassLink Quick Cards for their homeroom students.

Email Access

!!! Please note: We are moving away from the Outlook platform before the 2021-22 School Year. After July 2021, we will move exclusively to Gmail.

In DVISD we use Outlook Mail for our primary email provider. The use of personal email accounts for school related business is not permitted. These tutorial videos will help you set-up your DVISD Outlook Mail.

  • Email is for business only, please refrain from personal communication through business email
  • Email is subject to open record requests, please refrain from content and language that is divisive or crude.
  • Do Not Discuss your opinion of students in email!

!!! Please note: Gmail will be our primary email platform after July 2021. You will then only have one email address in the format of first.last@dvisd.net.

Your username and Google email address will be: firstname.lastname@delvalle-isd.org (until after July 2021).

Until then, here is the Google information:

  • Initial voicemail password is 12345, you will be asked to change password
  • Information about setting up your phone can be found here
  • Please enter an Eduphoria technology support ticket if you are having trouble with your phone

You will find quick reference guides by selecting the links below.

  • Ricoh copiers are also network printers.
    • Print jobs from your desktop or laptop will be sent to the Ricoh printer.
  • You will need to login to the copier using your employee ID, found on Skyward Finance or your Outlook email address and password.
  • Please contact your campus or department secretary if your copier need maintenance or supplies.
  • The printer will only hold a job for 3 hours.  You must collect your printouts within 3 hours or resubmit the print job.

Absence Management– Securing a substitute and logging an absence

Your campus secretary will provide you with your Absence Management login information.

DVISD uses the Google Apps for Education (GAFE) platform for many purposes including document creation and collaboration.

  • Your DVISD Google account will be automatically created after you have completed your new hire paperwork.
    • This may take 24-48 hours.
  • Your username and Google email address will be: firstname.lastname@delvalle-isd.net
    • The first and last name combination will be the same as your Outlook login.
  • If you are new to Google, you can request training by submitting an Eduphoria HelpDesk ticket.
    • Instructional Technology Department staff will come to you for walk-throughs and guidance.
